Makoto Kasai (火災 誠 Kasai Makoto) is a young and petite teenage girl attending True Cross Academy. She is two meister types and equally balances them; she's a doctor and tamer. Some says she is allergic to Yukio because her face turns red and she has a hard time staying still around him but is still relatively cold towards him despite being apparent friends. She is Kento Kasai's, a very well known and exceptionally good exorcist's, granddaughter putting pressure on her to be great like him.

Makoto is very stubborn, cold, and blunt but once more open to others she can be very sympathetic and protective of others. She is seen as hot-and-cold all at once and is extremely hotheaded. She often speaks before thinking and states things as they are making her come off as a bit rude. She excels in almost all of her classes (but not gym/PE and maths) and is wise for her age.
Makoto snaps under pressure and has many anxieties (i.e. social, educational, etc.) but attempts to overcome them. If she sees someone being bullied or harassed she'll protect the person even if that harms her.
